Cardiff Internet Marketing is a Business Networking event in Wales that brings small businesses and Internet Marketing experts together for an event of open, sharing conversation to help you understand how to use the internet to find new customers and grow your profits. Each month we have friendly, relaxed, cabaret-style networking and a short talk from one of our member’s who openly shares their knowledge and story with the room.
On 15 October 2012, Andrea Morgan–@RightmoveAddict on Twitter– will host a talk on her experience of how she has used Twitter to raise her profile and gain influence amongst high-profile people — and how you can do the same for your business.

Many, most, no, almost every small business owner to whom I’ve spoken does not understand the the fundamentals of using Twitter for business.
Andrea Morgan (@RightmoveAddict) has grown from zero to over 2,400 Twitter followers, all the while raising her profile amongst the movers-and-shakers of her industry subject. In fact, as a direct result of her Tweets, she was contacted by Rightmove (worth £4bn, estimated) for a VIP tour of their company head quarters!

About Andrea Morgan
Andrea Morgan has moved from a Twitter nobody (where, unless we are already a ‘traditional’ celebrity, we all have to start) to having a strong personal brand with high profile connections — almost 100% built using the power of Twitter and Social Media.
Andrea is a northerner having grown up in a village on the outskirts of a small town called Glossop. She is an adoring mum to a two year old boy called Sam (who gets a lot of mentions on her Twitter feed!). Her husband, Chris, won’t mind being publically referred to as an I.T. Geek (bring him to the event too, there’s plenty of us there already! – Ed).
Andrea’s career has been within the theatrical industry, including the management of one of London’s West End’s largest venues. Property is a big passion for her: in fact, she has moved house nearly thirty times! (Once to the Costa del Sol in Spain.)
Andrea is a member of the Chartered Management Institute South East Wales Management Team. Her sister calls her “half pint” for reasons that will become clear on 15 October, apparently.
Andrea believes that things happen for a reason and looks forward to sharing her Twitter journey with you, in the faith that you and your business will benefit from what she has learnt.

Directions/car parking
The Future Inn is located within the Red Dragon Centre complex, opposite County Hall in Cardiff Bay. Drive into the complex, turn left at Chiquito’s restaurant and the hotel is at the end of the road. There is ample, free parking for us but please ensure you inform the hotel’s reception of your car numberplate (there is a security patrol to ensure outsiders aren’t abusing the car park!).
The nearest train station is Cardiff Bay, which is about 10 minutes on foot. Also, the Baycar and other buses come down this way from the City Centre.
Business Networking: Local businesses talking to Internet professionals
Both before and after the talk by our guest speaker, there will be plenty of opportunity to network with other local small businesses and Internet Marketing experts over a relaxed drink at the bar. The talk starts promptly at 6:30pm, with most people turning-up from 6:00pm. After the talk, you can stay as long as you want! (Most people stay until about 9:00pm, some much longer!)
