Cardiff Internet Marketing is a Business Networking event in Wales that brings small businesses and Internet Marketing experts together for an event of open, sharing conversation to help you understand how to use the internet to find new customers and grow your profits. Each month we have friendly, relaxed, cabaret-style networking and a short talk from one of our member’s who openly shares their knowledge and story with the room.

On 19 November 2012, Jonathan Walker, head of Online Marketing at Google Agency partner Spindogs, will share with us his best practices for running a Google AdWords Pay-Per-Click (PPC) online advertising campaign to quickly attract new potential customers to your business website.

How to run Google Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advert Campaigns

From a website and “multimedia design” background in school and University, Jonathan’s love affair with Online Marketing began in 2006 when a less than demanding job left him with a lot of free time to research the relativley new phenominum of SEO.
Having researched the subject Jonathan built succesful Adsense and later affiliate based websites in a variety of niches and later offered his skills on a freelance basis before working on an in-house and agency basis.
As the online business world has evolved, so has Jonathan’s approach to Online Marketing and as head of Online Marketing at Google Agency partner Spindogs (1 of only 3 Google agency partners in the UK!), he offers a complete Online Marketing service, encompassing organic, social, e-mail and paid strategies.
A self confessed PPC enthusiast, Jonathan has worked with a variety of accounts over the past few years, focusing on  what matters the most for a successful PPC campaign – getting more for conversions and at a lower cost for his clients.
Jonathan would like to share with you why you should consider running a paid campaign and will aim to give you some tips and actionable advice on how you can get the most from your money based on his experience.

Directions/car parking

The Future Inn is located within the Red Dragon Centre complex, opposite County Hall in Cardiff Bay. Drive into the complex, turn left at Chiquito’s restaurant and the hotel is at the end of the road. There is ample, free parking for us but please ensure you inform the hotel’s reception of your car numberplate (there is a security patrol to ensure outsiders aren’t abusing the car park!).

The nearest train station is Cardiff Bay, which is about 10 minutes on foot. Also, the Baycar and other buses come down this way from the City Centre.

Business Networking: Local businesses talking to Internet professionals

Both before and after the talk by our guest speaker, there will be plenty of opportunity to network with other local small businesses and Internet Marketing experts over a relaxed drink at the bar. The talk starts promptly at 6:30pm, with most people turning-up from 6:00pm. After the talk, you can stay as long as you want! (Most people stay until about 9:00pm, some much longer!)

    Hi Arthur,

    Thanks for your comment. I too got a lot of value from the knowledge that was shared in the room last night. It was a great Return On Investment: I discovered that I had been throwing PPC money away on broad matches, etc. — spending £5 to come to the event last night has easily saved me ten times that in money that I otherwise would have overpaid on my PPC campaigns!
